🍹 🌮 Happy Cinco de Mayo weekend Pittsburgh! 🌮  🍹

Before we get into these fantastic events going on in the greater Pittsburgh area for Cinco de Mayo, do you know what it actually means? Literally Cinco de Mayo translates from Spanish to English as “5th of May”; but what does the date signify?  If you had to guess you would probably think that the Cinco de Mayo holiday celebrates the Mexican Independence Day. However, according to our source, the Mexican Independence Day is actually September 15th. According to our source:

“Cinco de Mayo commemorates the Mexican army's unlikely victory over the French forces of Napoleon III on May 5, 1862, at the Battle of Puebla. Mexico had trouble paying back war debts to European countries, and France had come to Mexico to collect that debt.“

Now that you know the history behind the holiday let’s check out some great deals and events to celebrate it for the greater Pittsburgh Area
