Happy St. Patrick’s Day Weekend!

Did you know that Pittsburgh ranks at the top of the list for St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in America? According to realtor.com 16.2% of Pittsburgh, PA is Irish, ranking high next to Worcester, MA at 15% and Lowell MA at 17%. But what activities do we have going in and around the greater Pittsburgh area to celebrate the city? This blog will give you some great family-friendly activities and adult-only activities to participate in this weekend in and around the greater Pittsburgh area.

St. Patrick’s Day Events:

  • What: St Patrick’s Day Parade
  • Where: Grant Street and Liberty Avenue

  • Gather your family and friends and head down to Pittsburgh for the annual St. Patrick’s Day parade! It’s a great tradition for the whole family!

 

  • What:  St. Patrick’s Day at the Winery
  • Where: The Washington Winery
  •                202 S. Main Street

  • When:   Saturday, March 17, 2018
  •                From 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM

  • Stop by The Washington Winery and enjoy $5 Green Wine Slushies and free tastings throughout the day!

 

  • What: Irish Fair in the Square 
  • Where:  Market Square
  •                 210 Forbes Avenue

  •             From 1:00 – 6:00 PM

  • Since the parade lasts from 12-9 you might want a break for lunch. If that’s the case head over to Market Square where the family-friendly portion of this event will include live music, street performers and more!


  • What: St. Patrick’s Day Dance!
  • Where: Jug-Slav Club

  • When: Saturday, March 17, 2018
  •              From 8:00 PM – 11:00 PM

  • For just $10 you can dance the night away to the Cellar Blues Band from 8-11 and even enjoy a fantastic meal beforehand because the kitchen opens at 7!


  • What:  Eggs and Beggin’ Dog Easter Egg Hunt
  • Where: Hilltop Animal Hospital

  •                Burgettstown, PA 15021
  • When:   Saturday, March 17, 2018
  •                From 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

  • While not related to St. Patrick’s Day, your whole family -including your dog will love this event! Your kids can participate in the Easter Egg hunts that will run throughout while you pose with your dog and the Easter Bunny!

 

  • What:  The Finleyville Pub Crawl
  • Where: Hackett Club

  •                Venetia, PA 15367
  • When: Saturday, March 17, 2018
  •              From 8:00 PM – 12:00 PM

  • Play it safe this St. Patrick’s Day and be shuttled from bar to bar in Finleyville! All proceeds benefit the Finleyville Volunteer Fire Department and it’s sure to be a great time even with a live band at Hackett Club and drink specials throughout the night!
