In fact, this small community is home to two buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Samuel Browniee House and the James Thorne Farm. North Strabane Township is served by the Canon-McMillan School District, which combines Canonsburg, Cecil Township, and North Strabane into a unified educational district. There are 11 elementary, middle, and high schools within the district, many of which have received excellent academic ratings by GreatSchools. The overall rating of the district is a 9/10!
