Local events
South Park residents love nothing more than coming together and celebrating their small-town roots. South Park is also home to the 47-mile Montour Trail, which serves as the longest suburban rail trail in the country.

South Park public school students are served by South Park School District, a notably highly-rated district. In addition to its exceptional academics, the district is also known for its all-star athletics, specifically soccer. SPSD consists of one elementary, middle, and high school. Dedicated teachers who place a strong emphasis on extracurricular activities help make SPSD stand out as one of the top districts in the South Hills.

Here in South Park, a short drive will take you to some of the area's top-notch shopping destinations—Century Square and South Hills Village are two local favorites. Just a few minutes away on Library Road in Bethel Park, you can find more big-name retailers and grocery stores. Gil's Cafe is a go-to for classic American fare and cold beer on tap, plus Ya Ya's Pizza is right down the road with plenty of thin-crust pies to spare!
Great Allegheny Passage
Beginning in Cumberland, Maryland and running all the way to downtown Pittsburgh, this passage stretches 150 miles and has a special branch right here in South Park.
